I'm a beginner with the certification world. What does the above sentence mean?

I was also wondering does CompTIA know about this dump? How come they haven't done anything about it? And if they do know how come they don't change the test?

My next question is how can you live and have on your conscience everyday knowing that you cheated on the test?

I'm not trying to cause rage or trolling, just trying to understand.

your question is very simple, coz not all I.T people had their pocket full to risk their certification.
giving their family a good life from career with certification, certifications means career and money in I.T world, to make the story short, people in I.T world wants to have certifications in order to have their salary /compensation larger than expected, if we risk the money we pay to take an exam without the confidence , we can fail the exam with that money you paid and can't be refunded. as we know exams like this are expensive for people can't afford to fail and waste their money.

I just want to say that I thought this was fake, but practiced it anyways. I took the test today to find out that the questions were word for word, and now I feel bad that I saw the questions and knew them before the test. I think this is very unethical, why would anybody post the real test? Can somebody please explain to me the logic and ethic of posting the real test and also going into the test knowing perfectly what the answers are? That is not a real test. How can somebody cheat knowingly, and feel OK about it?

Word for word as of 04/12/13 @ 1500 EST. Most of the answers were even in the same location. The three sims were pretty easy as well, but much like everyone else, I do not believe they count. I used this (2014-01-19.by.AnonTester.288q.vce) and the other recent one (2014-02-18.by.AnonTester.288q.vce) and scored a 900. Goodluck everyone.

I gave my exam on April 6 at 1pm (central time) and scored 900/900. I was very skeptical when I read all the other posts that they were word to word, nevertheless I did not want to take a chance and so practiced these dumps a lot the last 2 days before my exam. After giving the exam I realized everyone out here is totally right ! Each & every question on the exam was from this dump - word to word, including the same options in the same order ! This is 100% valid, if you ace these dumps, you will score 900/ 900 for sure. The 3 sim questions at the beginning (which were not scored for sure), were - Configuring a WAP, identifying different attacks (spam, whaling, etc), identifying smurf attack sim. I might have messed up a little in the first & second sim Qs and yet I got full, thats why I feel they are not scoring the sims. I would have passed even without these dumps as I read the Gibson book, watched Messer videos and used another practice test book but still I probably would not have scored 100% if not for these dumps. Good luck everyone else !

Two drag and drops were; acl's (there was no port to allow traffic, so I put port 80 and screwed this one up), and forensic investigation, hard drive_ram_cache_swap! Thanks again Anontester! Wow. I was really skeptical of this program, but every question I had was from these tests, besides the sims. I was actually hoping for some different questions to challenge myself, but swear to God every question was accounted for except the sims. I used Testout to prep for Sec +, and while it gives you really good practical knowledge I think it fell just a bit short in preparing you for the actual test. I dont know if I would have passed if not for this dump, I think it would have been close either way. But I actually felt guilty after scoring 900 of 900 in about 45 minutes. The sims consisted of analyzing a few logs, matching port #s, and selecting the services a mobile device and data terminal server would use for CompTIA security++ Certification Exam. This is the easy way out but its effective. I would not have used this if I didint feel a lot of the test questions were so dam vague and needed so much interpatation.

The only thing that was hard honestly was the simulations and not hard, just whomever wrote the questions had to be drunk! LOL
this is def. a must have. Plus, spend $14.99 and get your VCE player for android or Iphone and keep taking test on your phone instead of playing facebook games! make your time on the toilet productive..

PASSED today at lunch. I was so nervous to take the test, but I am so glad I did. These practices tests are WORD for F**KING WORD perfect with the real thing. Like others have said I dont think the SIMS count. I know for sure I answered 2-3 questions wrong and I passed with 886/900 a took my sweet time final time was ~35 minutes
If you are on the fence like I was, memorize the questions and go pass your cert.

Took exam today on Army base in Germany. This dump is still valid. All 91 questions were directly from the dump. It seemed to be a mix of A,B,and C. Three sims at the beginning. One was matcing protocols to port numbers. You had to drag different CompTIA security++ Certification Exam measures to the appropriate devices (server vs. mobil). The last was a diagram of a network that allowed you to view logfiles and you had to determine which device failed using the logfiles.

I'm studying this dump now, and hoping to be ready by next week or so. Only questions are:

what did everyone mostly see regarding questions: were questions from all 3 exams a/b/c scattered throughout the Real Exam, or was one of the exams a, b, or c in its entirety the actual Real Exam? Like, you're taking the test and you realize it's exam B from the dump?

Other question is about the sims. Do the sims have multiple choice as well, such as from pulldown menu's to choose the answer from? or are the sims something you have to type in the answer from scratch?

last about the sims again: it seems that you can skip the sims and still pass? that may not be recommended, but is it accurate? I see where people have reported high scores, but skipped the sims entirely. Thoughts?

This exam is a joke. It is mainly high level CompTIA security++ Certification Exam concepts. Unlike Cisco CCNP CompTIA security++ Certification Exam exam, you learn some marketable skill but this exam is a joke but government employers for some reason find this exam important for hiring practices. Watching the trainging video or reading the book should suffice. Paying $$$ to take this test is just waste of money.

My company could care less about certs and paying for them. They are VERY cheap, I have to argue to my boss to justify buying things like MS Office for our Editorial staff...Or a new keyboard, money is tight here. Which is why I am looking to expand my marketability and start looking for something better.

Well Ill look into a nearby testing center and see when I can go take the exam, I will be sure to post my results here.

@Dave, i was skeptical at first as well. You are correct that is when the test replaced 201. I took the gamble, because my employer actually reimburses me if I passed, and I did. Not sure who your current employer is, but alot of companies have deals with CompTIA to where you can get a voucher at a discount. Might want to look into that. But either I would say Good Luck, but after studying this and are to the point where you can answer the questions without reading the whole question. You are ready.

Yes SY0-401 CompTIA security++ Certification Exam+ from CompTIA is exam I want. 2014? version I think is when the 301 replaced the 201.

Well Everyone has said the same damn thing, That this is exactly the same as the real test. I guess it is worth a one time gamble of $284, because if this works as well as I hope, then I can use these dumps for tons of other certs.

@Dave, I studied for a couple months. I bought Get Certified Get Ahead. I watched CBTNugget videos, and although I knew the material I wanted more. So I spent 2 days before the test and just studied this. The questions are spot on. I am talking answer in the same place and everything. I suggest studying all 288 like you did. As my test was a mixture of the different exams in the dump. The first 3 questions for me did not work and they are the ones everyone is talking about that are different. I don't think they matter, but if they work for you just do them. All the other questions were from this dump. Just make sure you are taking SY0-401.

I have read a study book a few times. And I have since memorized all 288 questions. My question is this. Is this really that accurate? If I can do all 288 questions perfectly what are my chances of going to a testing center tomorrow and passing with no extra prep? I am nervous as the test isn't exactly cheap.
Also how long do these tests stay current as in, how long will these 288 questions be accurate?.

Still valid. Took the test yesterday and everything was word for word like other posters have mentioned. Although I highly doubt the beginning labs are counted, it's also mentioned in the beginning of the test that some questions may not be counted, don't discount them and skip. Lab #1 was WAP configuration, Lab #2 was the description w/ drop down menu, Lab #3 was the animated network diagram (Smurf Attack). The remaining questions were all word for word off the study guide here. I spent approximately 3 weeks studying this but used other study material (Skillport, Professor Messer on YouTube) for about 2 months prior to taking this test. Much thanks to AnonTester and everyone who has contributed to this thread.

Took it on 3/18/2014, scored 883. I studied alot of different materials, but was not sure how well I would do. So over the weekend I studied just this dump. Let me tell you it was word for word perfect. I skipped the 3 simulations at the beginning, because like posted below. They just were not working correctly. I don't think they counted at all. I could not even go back to review.

The SIM at the beginning will scare you, but it's BS, it wasnt even working for me properly. I just did the first part (list of password, pin, bio; explain what it is. For example password = something you know, smartcard = something you have)

The 2nd two SIM's I skipped, made no sense. I am guessing it does get marked since i got 900, all the other 91 questions were exact 100% copy from this dump, same order and even the names of people (Jane, Matt etc). I finished in 20 mins.

dont buy a voucher from CompTIA, they mislead you into thinking you have to buy it from them. They are supposed to send it by email, but i never got it until 5 days later (gmail/hotmail etc emails are not valid, had to use my work email). Just pay when you go on PearsonVue to book the exam.

I am taking the exam tomorrow in Toronto, I hope this dump is all i need.

100% Valid as of today in NY. I got 897/900 and I checked everything over and over and I didn't have anything wrong. I got the whole Exam A of this dump. The ONLY part where I wasn't sure was the simulation portion where you have to choose from a drop down menu the type of attacks based on the picture. I got all the other simulations right - server WAP configuration and the network video.

SO, based on my experience today, my advice is NOT to skip the simulation questions. I believe that the malware/social engineering attack portion of the simulation is graded, so be prepared to answer and do NOT skip. I am just reviewing my printout of the dump and I got everything correct - all 91 questions, so the only portion where I got wrong/not sure the answer is, was the simulation part. In summary, the social engineering attack simulation portion is GRADED and counted against you!

Passed yesterday by the grace of God -- three simulations, first to match the order of forensics preservation (cache to file system); second was to map from a diagram the ports, addresses, and type for various permissions (like a HR workstation to make TFTP queries from the Marketing Dept server); the third escapes me, sorry.

WARNING: this week's version was completely different from the versioin presented two weeks earlier at another test location in my metro area. WTF...
